Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. Agreement to These Terms

By accessing or using the Foundermental website (foundermental.com), booking a coaching call, joining the Foundermental community, or using any free tools or resources provided, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

Foundermental is operated by Joel Rickard. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Offered

Foundermental offers the following services:

  • 1:1 Coaching, personalised mindset and performance coaching for entrepreneurs via the Foundermental OS programme.
  • Free Tools, publicly available tools including the Gratitude & Perspective Tool and the Entrepreneur Identity Audit quiz.
  • Community, a free and paid community hosted on Skool, providing access to tools, resources, and live coaching workshops.
  • Content, educational content on YouTube, the Foundermental Podcast, and other platforms.

3. Not Professional or Medical Advice

The content, tools, coaching, and resources provided by Foundermental are for educational and personal development purposes only. They do not constitute professional psychological, medical, legal, or financial advice.

Coaching is not a substitute for therapy, counselling, or professional mental health support. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please seek appropriate professional help.

4. No Guarantee of Results

While we work hard to deliver genuine, lasting value, we cannot and do not guarantee specific outcomes from coaching, community participation, or use of any Foundermental tools or resources. Results depend entirely on individual circumstances, effort, and commitment.

Testimonials or examples of results shared on this site reflect individual experiences and are not a promise of what you will achieve.

5. Payments and Refunds

Pricing for coaching programmes is discussed and agreed upon prior to commencement. All coaching fees are confirmed in writing before any payment is made.

Due to the nature of 1:1 coaching and the preparation involved, all payments are non-refundable once a coaching programme has commenced, unless otherwise agreed in writing. If you have concerns about a payment, please contact us directly at joel@foundermental.com.

Community membership fees (if applicable) are subject to any terms outlined at the point of sign-up within the Skool platform.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, frameworks, tools, videos, and the Foundermental brand, is the intellectual property of Joel Rickard unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce, distribute, adapt, or commercially exploit any content from this site without prior written permission. Sharing content for personal, non-commercial purposes with clear attribution is permitted.

7. Community Conduct

By joining the Foundermental community, you agree to engage respectfully and constructively. The following are not permitted:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour toward other members or staff.
  • Spam, unsolicited promotions, or off-topic commercial content.
  • Sharing confidential information discussed within the community outside of it.
  • Any activity that violates applicable laws or the community platform's own terms of service.

We reserve the right to remove anyone from the community who violates these standards, without refund of any fees paid.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Foundermental and Joel Rickard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website, our services, or our community including but not limited to loss of income, business, or data.

Our total liability in any circumstance shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.

9. Third-Party Links and Platforms

This site contains links to third-party platforms including Skool, Google Calendar, Scoreapp, Spotify, and YouTube. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or privacy policies of those platforms and encourage you to review their terms independently.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our services, website, or community at our discretion, without prior notice, if we believe you have breached these terms or acted in a manner inconsistent with the values of Foundermental.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Foundermental services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts.
